2016 Suwon International Sister Cities’ Handicrafts Fair ended in success
On May 15, 2016 Suwon International Handicrafts Fair was finished successfully with a lot of visitors at Haenggung square.
The craftsmen from Suwon’s 9 international sister cities participated in this fair. 90 Korean craftsmen who represent Suwon city also participated in the fair and they showed Korea’s traditional values and beauty to the world.
The Visitors enjoyed various craftworks exhibitions from the globe and experienced handicrafts together with the craftsmen. “It was a really good occasion to promote cultural exchanges with international cities. I enjoyed many fun activities and my children liked them as well.” One of the visitors said.
Besides, the fair provided useful information about Suwon’s sister cities such as landscapes, historical places and foods. Visitors could also enjoyed Korean traditional games and sweets.
“This festival is a chance to improve Suwon’s international status. We have more future plans to promote cultural interchanges like this fair.” Officials from Suwon Center for International Cooperation said.
Furthermore, Suwon Center for International Cooperation will participate in handicrafts fair which will be held soon in Russia and Romania and introduce the beauty of Korean culture to the world.
